Soon on the developer portal: Ledger Wallet Provider

The Ledger Wallet Provider is a library that will allow dApps to establish a direct browser session with a Ledger signer, removing the need for an intermediary software wallet. More info on how to integrate it soon on the Developer Portal.

Terminology Update

  • The Ledger Wallet™ app (formerly Ledger Live™) is your secure gateway to the world of digital assets. It lets you manage and monitor your portfolio across multiple blockchains, all while keeping your private keys safely within your Ledger device. Through the app, you can access third-party services to buy, sell, swap, or stake crypto without ever taking your assets outside the Ledger security ecosystem. Ledger provides the technology and secure environment, while transactions are executed directly with these external providers.
  • Ledger hardware wallets are now referred to as Ledger hardware signers, or simply signers.

In short, the Ledger Wallet™ app and Ledger signer work together as your Proof of You in the digital world: your trusted way to verify identity, confirm intent, and stay in complete control of your digital life.
